 I'm posting about this GENIUS. I think he's one of the most appreciated men in the world. He was a pacific, good man which participated in the british band 'The Beatles'. We can recognise him because only one thing: his glasses, which are fashion nowadays.
I really love this guy. He supported peace, love and 'el plus pal salón'. Ok, it was a joke, but I love the pacifism, the politics he supported, the way he had to look at life. He left us the idea of a perfect wold with his song 'Imagine', an image of peace, with no countries, no war, no religion, no politics, no money...only us, and our feelings.
Well, I'm posting that song. It's one of my favourites. He appears with his wife, Yoko Ono, we all know her, and that they stayed for some days in a room supporting peace after their wedding.

Not from 80's, but the best video clip I've ever seen.

Hey! I'm postingo about Tool this time. Tool is one of my favourite nowadays bands, and it composes a mixture of rock and indie music. The best about this band are the video clips. They're all extrange, and Parabola is the best one for me.

I like this band because of its style, like ancient south-american tribs, as mayas. As my mom says "You like the weirdest". They're a little weird, but, it makes the special.

I'm posting Parabola. It sounds like maths class, but it really show us the way we live. At the beggining, we see three  fat men (well, I have to say this is my way to analyze...) wearing suits, in a very low-light room. The fat represents the way they live, with all they want. The amorphism shows how power can transform a person. In the center, there's a table. The all have a bag. One of the men takes out a knive, to cut an apple. The apple represents the politics, the control they have on the world. They can transform and change whatever they want. Then, one of them has a flame in the middle finger, , which represents the death of honestity. At the end of this part, the three emn start flying and vomiting something similar to petrol, but not exactly. May be, this represents the debility of our world.

The rest of the video show us the other part of the real world.  The inner struggle that lies within protecting others or benefiting ourselves.

So much guitar.

Hey guys! So long, you know, I abandoned this. Today I'm gonna write about Napalm Death, a grindcore group I'm sure you don't know. It has not very known songs, but the guitar base is amazing, and the usually use gutural voices when singing.
Well, the band is created don 1982, and it has a lot of musicians for looking for the best. None of the inicial members stays in the band for a long time. At the end, the band is composed by Greenway, Harris, Embury and Herrera. The inicial members of the band, hich recorded some albums, were subtituted by the end ones, having released Scum, Froms Enslavement to Obliteration, Harmony corruption, Utopia Banished, Fear-Emptines-Despair, Deatribes and more ones which will always be the precursor of actual Death Metal.
Scum will be the first album of the band, may be the one which approximates the best to the real grindcore style.
So, Marti, this one is for you, I know you like this music. Love from here, and enjoy the song, hope you like it!

Just Anthrax.

Anthrax is an USA's band created in New York on 1981, and known for its amazing success in music, appearing sometimes with other bands.  It's considered one of the best trash metal bands, with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. It's also one of the earliest bands signing up to a major label.

There were multiple vocalists involved in Anthrax, with Neil Turbin, Joey Belladonna and John Bush being among the frontmen of the band. Scott Ian, however, has been in the band since its formation. Ian and Charlie Benante, who joined Anthrax in 1983, are the only constant members that appear on every album.
Today, I'm posting "Be all, end all", and Trash Metal because I know some of my frinds like to listen to that kind of music (I also like this). So, enjoy the song. It has a very long instrumental part, some gutural voices, and a guitar solo which reminds me about Slash <3

Hey! Today I'm posting about Ozzy. Gloria, I know you love him, so it's for you :)
 Blizzard of Ozz is the first Ozzy's studio album. It was recorded on 1980 in England, after Ozzy left Black Sabbath because of his adictions. The singles were  "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley". The album has became an Ozzy's best seller.
The song "Suicide Solution" has been criticized for its lyrics that were alleged to be a direct cause in the October 1984 suicide of John McCollum, a nineteen year-old fan who shot himself while listening to Osbourne's song. The boy's parents sued Osbourne and CBS Records for "encouraging self-destructive behavior" in young persons who were "especially susceptible" to dangerous influences. In court in his defense Osbourne said when the song was being written the words "Wine is fine but whiskey's quicker..." came to him suddenly and were a reflection not on the merit of suicide but on the death of AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott who drank cheap wine and whiskey until his death from alcohol-related causes just months before Blizzard of Ozz was released. Bob Daisley, who wrote additional lyrics, said he wrote the song about Osbourne's own abuse of alcohol and drugs. The McCollums' complaint was dismissed on the grounds that the First Amendment protected Osbourne's right to free artistic expression.

Guns for life.

Today I'm posting one of my favourite bands in the world; Guns N' Roses. The song "Welcome to the jungle" is from the album "Appetite for destruction, and it's one of the most papular ones.
The members (nowadays) are Axel Rose, Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson, Pitman, Fortus, Frank Ferrer, Ron Thal and DJ Ashba. The best guitar player ever, Slash, is an old member, remembered by its guitar solo on the son "Sweet child O'mine" (an international success)

And the famous song "Welcome to the jungle", which was composed by Axl Rose while he was walking down the street. A homeless, which stole him some money, told Axl "You know where you are?, you're in the jungle baby, you gonna die!". Here you have a video :3 (sexy, sweet Jesus.... Axl)

So, Kiss, as we know, is a Ney-Yorker band known by its facial make-up (as we can see in the photo below)

So, I'm posting the song "Heaven's on Fire". Released in 1984, it became one of the songs in the TopTen in some countries, and the #49 on the Billboard Hot 100.
A live version of the song was recorded at Cobo Hall on December 8, 1984 as part of the band Kiss: Animalize Live Uncensored video Kiss filmography and was later released on the Hear 'n Aid album. It is one of only two live tracks with longtime drummer Eric Carr that Kiss has ever officially released.

Controversy.

Hey! Today I'm postig Iron Maiden-The number of the beast.
I know most of my followers haven't listen to it yet, so I feel the necessity of getting these groups closer to you.
"The Number of the Beast" is the third studio album of the british band Iron Maiden. This album was released on 1982. The ban was accused of satanism several times because of their topics. The song "The number of the beast" has had some polemic warnings, because a part of the song says:

"Here is wisdomHe that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is man's number.It's Numberis Six Hundred And Sixty Six"

The song is about a man which dreams he's in hell, doing satanic rites and sacrifices. At the beginning, he thiks he must tell to authorities, but eventually, he feel he can't hide his conscience, and warns he will come back as a stronger man. The scriptural sentence of the first 10 seconds was recorded by Barry Clayton.

When the videoclip was broadcasted by MTV for the first time, some viewers asked for a phisic change of Eddie the Head, which scared spectators.

The myth of myths.

I'm posting about Thriller, by Michael Jackson. Thriller, as you know, is one of the best videos ever filmed, and unfortunately, Michael left us some years ago. 

MJ was considered the King of Pop. At the begginig, he actued with his brother, in Jackson's 5, but little by little, he emancipated from the group and started doing his individual music, becoming the nicest singer, composer and musician ever. His succes was because of his fashion, his music, and mostly, his dancing. Who hasn't tried the moonwalk, at least, once? 

He used to transfor the medium into and art scene, as we see in "Beat it" and "Billie Jean". 

We can consider Thriller as the most sold album ever. Michael gave 300,000,000 dollars to charity, from the money he earned.

The symbol.

Hi guys! A friend of mine told me to post about Nirvana, and I thought it was a good idea. Nirvana, as most of you know, is a Grunge band which can be considered as revolutionary, and a symbol to new rock-styles.
The album Bleach (which contains the song we have chosen) was released on 1989. It contains great hits like "About a girl" and "Mr. Moustache".

We have chosen "About a girl". The song was composed by Kurt Cobain (in the middle) to Tracy Marander, his girlfriend in that moment.
The song talks about a broken relationship between them (Tracy didn't knew that before reading the band's biography), because he refused to look for a job and help with housework, so it can be considered as a secret-meaning song.

One of the greatest hits

Here we have one of the gratest hits ever. We all know the song, we all sing it when somebody wins. I'm talking about "We are the campions", by Queen.

You know it, right? It's on the Greatest Hits I Disc. The soing was writen by Mercury. The disc was released on 1981. It has been considered one of the catchiest songs of the history.

It has become one of the most used hymns in sports events, and it was the official song on the 1994's FIFA Wolrd Cup. The success of the song is based on the piano part, and it's catchy rythm.

This is my new blog. As you can see, it's about 80's music, politics around the world, sports... I hope you  like music, it will be the main part of it. If you enjoy Queen, The Who, Guns N' Roses, and all these bands, it's a good place for you. But, step by step. We should remember that not all the history of 80's was great, we will see little by little.
